Cade's 5th Birthday

I feel like Cade's birthday needs a separate post from the Christmas post. I can't believe he is 5 already. He has grown up so much in the last year. And he will start school this fall. Crazy.

We had a small little party for him on his birthday at home.

When we got to TX they had a cake for him. He got a bike from Mimi and Papa which was perfect. Dad had fun picking it out for Cade.

Some random things about Cade at 5:
-Still has a huge love for cars. Plays with his hot wheels everyday.
-Very loving and patient with his little sister. Likes to help her.
-Loves to "surprise" us by doing things before he is asked, or faster than we expect. (I love it when he does this!)
-Loves to run and be physical.
-A pretty good little athlete.
-Has a knack for numbers and doing simple addition.
- Asks really good questions.
- Can write all the names of our family members (especially loves writing his name on everything)
- HUGE amount of energy. All the time.
-Starting to be more sensitive.
-Enjoys, and is good at, building things (mostly airplanes).

We love our (not so) little boy and could not imagine life without him. We look forward to seeing all the new things and experiences he has this next year.
