Halloween/Arizona

We really needed to have economically friendly costumes this year. I really wanted the kids to match and some sort of theme. But I do want Cade to like what he is. In the end having cheap themed costumes that Cade was excited about was not possible so frugal costumes won out. I saw tons of cute owl costumes tutorials online and chose that for Rylee. I don't even know if she knew what that was but she does now! I saw Cade's costume online and told him if he chose that then he could get some new cars to use. That did the trick. He was excited about his road costume.

Before Halloween our city had trick or treating in the infamous Aggieville near campus. It was Rylee first real  experience with it and she caught on quick. She even kept her glasses on the whole time because she knew she would get candy is she was all dressed up. Cade of course was a pro and squealed and jumped up and down the whole time.

Then we got to pack our bags and head to Phoenix!! Cole had a conference there and how could we drive 2 hours to the airport, see him off, and know he was going right where Shanna lived and not all go?! So we did! I am so glad. We had so much fun. Cade and Austin are so cute together. They are both obsessed with cars so that works out well. Cade has all new cars and trucks to play with and Austin has someone to watch and follow. The last time I had seen Kensley was when she was only a couple month old. Cole had never met her. It was fun to see her move and and interact.   It was also nice to have summer like weather again. We spent lots of time outside.

Shan and I both sent each other white sunglasses for your birthday this year! We both thought they would go well with the new swim suit we were getting from our mom. (Also it is fun to wear all of Shan's clothes while I am there! Why pack mine when she has a closet full of new ones! I seriously brought the clothes I wore there and pajamas. That was it.)

So, as we suspected, Rylee and Kensley were each soothed by their mom as well as their aunt equally well. Rylee was convinced one morning that Shan was her mom. And then I walked in and she was pretty confused. When Shan was not around, Kensley would come to me all excited thinking she was going to her mom.

In Phoenix there was this awesome fabric warehouse. Cole watched the kids while Shan and I went. As you can tell, we were pretty excited. Yay for twin time.

We loved being able to have Halloween there. Cole has missed several Halloween nights because of this conference so it was nice to all be together. The kids loved it obviously. We had to tell Cade to slow down because we was sprinting from house to house. We were the only ones out trick or treating but that means we got plenty of good candy!

We had so much fun and were sad to leave. But we will all be together again after Christmas at home!
