It was so nice to be able to have someone laugh at my jokes, know exactly what movie I was quoting or not have to explain my thinking about something or why I thought something was funny. We just think alike. Since we think similar we can bounce around to all sorts of subjects. Cole had a hard time keeping up. Since Shan and I have the same sense of humor we find the same things funny. Cole said he has never seen me laugh as hard as I did last week. We have a good time together.
You can't have your twin sister come visit without any good twin stories. Since we have been living apart for a while we have not gotten the normal stares and mix ups so it was kind of fun to get that again all week. Here are my favorites:
- Cade was so confused at first. He would just stare at her the whole first evening. Probably didn't help that we showed up at the airport wearing the same large chunky necklace.
- The little 3 year old that lives above us was over. He came up to Cole very confused and said, "Where did you get two mommies?"
- Shanna is very obviously pregnant. So when she walked into church there were some confused faces. One man leaned over to his wife and said, " She's pregnant?! We just had dinner with them a few weeks ago! How did we not know?" HAHAHA!
- Several people said hi to her and were not expecting to see me around the corner. People have some very humorous reactions sometimes.
-The stake president's 10 year old son ran into this dad's office after seeing us and said, "Dad! There are two Sister Ratcliffes!!"
We had fun. People's reactions never get old!
We didn't really do a ton of cool exciting things but it was just nice to spend time together. Here are some clips from the week.
Cole had a couple of intramural softball games we went and watched...well we did a little more playing with Cade than watching! (Do you know who is who?)

Apparently the dirt was way more exciting than watching daddy play.
(I am kissing Cade the other two are Shanna.)

We spent a lot of time making Shan's baby announcements. We have fun being crafty together. We always seem to do something crafty when we get together.
We took Cade on some
walks and let him play in a big open field which he loved.

Thanks for coming Shan!! Cade and I loved having somebody else to play with! We can't wait for Cade's cousin to come!

Those are some funny twin stories. Cade is getting so big! He's adorable!
Those comments from everyone were hilarious! I'm so glad you and Shanna got to spend some time together, you are some of the best twins I know! :)
By the way, I ended up buying that cookbook that you recommended and have marked a bunch of the recipes that sounded good and tried a potato soup last night-it was good and cheap too! Thanks again for the recommendation.
That is SO FUNNY! I always thought it would be so cool to play tricks and see people's reactions of being twins. That's uncanny too how alike you guys are, and especially funny you're both starting with boys!
Shanna is having a boy too? I didn't know that. How fun!! That is really odd, especially since that all depends on the husband. I'm so glad ya'll had so much fun together! There is nothing better than hanging out with your sister. I pulled up that one pic of your crafting so that I could get a better look at what ya'll were making. First of all, I am way jealous that you have a cricket. Secondly, I loved the cute little onesie (sp?) announcement (at least that is what it looked like to me).
How fun! I wish I could have been there...
