Joy School Graduation

Cade is a Joy School graduate! We had a talent show and a little ceremony to celebrate our graduates. We have done Joy School this last academic year and have had a great experience with it.  Hopefully it will  help in the transition to Kindergarten in the fall. Cade was the oldest student and it was really cute to watch him help the others. I really loved working with the other families.

Reading some facts about Cade.
'Sliding' into the next year

Cade's talent switched around a lot. He first wanted to do some 'tricks'. He never told me what they were but he wanted to do them. Then it was frisbee. The day of though he couldn't think of what we wanted to do. We ended up singing "Oh I wish I lived...." I don't know the real name but Mom used to sing it! On the "what?" part he would poke his head out from behind the curtain and say "what?". Rylee totally sang all the words with me.

Cade is behind the curtain waiting for his cue
Rylee loves Joy school. She loves it when it is my week to teach. She is probably a better student than Cade. She sits very attentively and wants to do everything just right. We let all the younger siblings do a talent and she was very excited. She dressed in her dancing costume and danced to "A Child's Prayer". She picked the song. While Cade gets rather bashful (or silly) on stage, Rylee performed very professionally and wanted to do it just right.
Waiting for her music

Congrats Cade!!

Joy school looks like fun!

I have been involved in an informal preschool for the past few months for Callie. We do a different letter of the alphabet each week. It has been so much fun! We plan on starting again in the fall following a more detailed curriculum. What do you like/dislike about joy school?
