First, a couple of weeks ago we went to a local rodeo. It was so much fun and Cade loved it! He loved the "jumping horses" and watching the cowboys hold on tight so they would not fall off.

Then today at church I was showing him a bunch of Jesus pictures and we came across this one.

I told him this was Jesus and he was riding a little horse since he didn't know what a donkey was. He immediately said, "Jesus. Rodeo." So we had a little discussion and I tried to clarify. But I thought it was so funny how his little mind is making connections and how he is trying to understand the world.
Next, I thought my parents and siblings would appreciate this (and probably Alexi). Cade helped me make sugar cookies over Valentines and he loved it. Everything from watching me make the frosting pink, to licking the frosting off the beaters, to helping cut heart shaped cookies. He was having a field day. I thought it would make my family proud to know that I have already introduced Cade to the wonderful world of mom's homemade frosting. And he gladly accepted!

Lastly, this was Saturday morning. Cade loves to come wake us up and jump into our bed climbing and snuggling with us. He is so cute in the morning. Yesterday he wanted to keep getting "lost" under the pillows. He would hide, we would pretend to look for him and then he would squeal when we found him. Then he would say "Cade lost again!" Little kid games are so funny-mundane to us but so thrilling for them.
