Vegas/Utah Trip

We just returned from a wonderfully busy vacation. First stop was Vegas for our friend Jimmy's wedding. It was a wonderful sealing in the Las Vegas temple and they both looked so happy. I have to say I loved the bride's choice of brown tuxedos.

Next stop was Utah to visit family. Cade and I made good use of our layovers.

We spent some time with Shanna and Matthew. Our best friend Alexi was also in town. Since Shan will miss her wedding Matthew flew her our for a visit as a mothers day/birthday gift for Shan.

 

We spent a couple of nights at Cole's parents' cabin in Scofield. Cole was very excited to take me fishing. He made me bait my own hook which was totally disgusting. I was so pumped to catch my first fish.  I felt tugging and started reeling in totally expecting a fish. I was so excited and Cole was snapping pictures only to find my first catch was simply my line stuck on the lake bottom. Highly disappointing.

Cade playing with Grandma and Cousin Gage in Cole's Grandma's backyard. Might I say the Utah weather was fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed the dry weather. In Kansas we are suffocating with 1,000% humidity. 

All the traveling really wore Cade out.  The windows were rolled down in the car... I think he works the hair blown look well ;)  

 

Shanna planned her baby shower for the same week that Alexi and I were in town. It was so fun to see her big and prego. Only 4 weeks till Cousin Austin is here! We are so excited! 

We really enjoyed being able to spend time with so many friends and family. We are far from all of them and appreciate the time they took to spend with us.
